Private Sahara concierge
The Sahara, privately — Erg Chebbi, Erg Chigaga, and camps worth the journey
The desert is the reason many people come to Morocco, and the part most often done badly. The difference is private: your own vehicle and driver across the Atlas, a camp chosen for comfort and silence rather than capacity, and dunes timed for the hours when they are empty.
We arrange both ergs — Chebbi (Merzouga) for classic grandeur, Chigaga (M'hamid) for remoteness — and the routes between, through the Draa Valley, Aït Benhaddou, and the gorges.
What we arrange in the Sahara
- Private luxury camps under the dunes — exclusive-use options available
- 4×4 and chauffeured routes from Marrakech, Fès, or Ouarzazate
- Camel treks at dawn and dusk, sandboarding, stargazing dinners
- Multi-day desert circuits woven into a full Morocco itinerary
- Photography-led timings for light and emptiness

Good to know — the Sahara
Erg Chebbi or Erg Chigaga?
Chebbi (Merzouga) has the grand 150m dunes and easier access; Chigaga is wilder and emptier, reached by 4×4 from M'hamid. We'll recommend based on your route and appetite for distance.
How long is the drive from Marrakech?
Around 9–10 hours direct — which is why we break it over Aït Benhaddou, the Draa Valley, or the gorges. Two days each way makes the journey part of the trip.
Is a desert night comfortable?
In the camps we use, yes: proper beds, private bathrooms, hot water, and real cooking. "Luxury camp" means different things in Morocco; we only book the ones that earn the word.
When is the best time for the desert?
October–April. Summer is possible at dawn/dusk but the midday heat is serious.
