Merzouga Express — 3 Nights, Private Desert Route

Dawn on the third morning. From a desert camp at the edge of the Merzouga dunes, the sand shifts from grey to rose in the space of a few minutes, and there is nothing on the schedule before breakfast. You watch it from where you slept, or from a low ridge a short walk off, and the only sound is the wind moving the crest above the tents.

This route suits two guests with limited days and no appetite for compromise — couples and pairs who want the gorges, the valleys and one proper desert night, privately and without backtracking the same road twice.

Good to know

This runs over four days and three nights, with two long driving days bracketing the desert night — a real distance south, not a quick out-and-back. The pace is yours to set; your driver adjusts the order and the stops to your party.

Desert nights are cold even after warm days, in any season; pack layers. The camp night is one night, with the gorges and valleys filling the road on either side.

This is a starting point, not a fixed circuit. The start city, the gorge stops, the camp standard and where the route delivers you afterwards all bend to your dates. Accommodation payment unless packaged, meals not specified, and camel or quad upgrades sit outside the base.
