Three Generations, One Table

At ten in the morning, the courtyard of a quiet riad smells of warm semolina and orange-blossom water. A grandmother folds back her sleeves and lays her hands over a child's, guiding the first slow turn of dough on the board. The parents stand at the stove, ladling, tasting, adjusting. By noon, the table you set is the table you made together, and every pair of hands at it had a part in the meal.

This day is composed for families who want more than a cooking class. It is built around one idea: that a recipe is something passed hand to hand. Good to know

The pace is gentle and the day is built to seat both young children and grandparents in comfort, with shade and rest between the kneading and the meal.

This is a single day in or near Marrakech. An Atlas-side house can be arranged instead if you'd prefer the cooler air and the slower road.
