Essaouira Beach Ride — Horse or Camel Private Session

In the last ninety minutes before sunset, the beach outside Essaouira empties and the light goes soft and low across the wet sand. That is when this ride is timed for — horse or camel, your choice, a private session with no convoy of other riders ahead of you.

It suits riders of any level, including none: the handler stays with you throughout, and the pace is set to the least experienced person in your party. It works for couples, for families, and for anyone who wants one unhurried hour on the Atlantic shore rather than another afternoon in the medina.

The session unfolds simply. Pickup is coordinated in advance, you meet your handler and your horse or camel outside town, and the ride follows the shoreline for an hour and a half to two hours, timed for the soft light. It closes the way these things should — with mint tea.
