A Private Day in the Atlas — Villages, Table & Return

Forty minutes from Marrakech, the road begins to climb. The red of the city gives way to walnut groves and Berber villages built into the hillside, and by mid-morning the medina feels much further away than it is.

This is a full private day in the High Atlas. Your chauffeur collects you at your riad and drives into the Ourika Valley or toward Imlil — the route confirmed in advance, based on your interests and the season — stopping where the landscape asks for it. A village. A walnut grove. A waterfall, if you want one.

Lunch is taken at a carefully chosen address with a view that justifies the drive on its own. The afternoon stays unhurried, and you are back in Marrakech before the light is completely gone.

It suits couples, families and small groups who want the mountains without an early start or a long itinerary — and it is, for many of our guests, the day they talk about most. It is the simplest starting point we offer; we'd argue that is its strength.
